Lt. Baban 'Yanmata: 3rd August 1955


The young British Lieutenant of the Motor Transport section, popularly known as Baban ‘Yanmata: the father of Girls. In this photograph dated 3rd August 1955, he was with Titi Zaria and Ya Maiduguri. Ya Maiduguri, the Kanuri Girl in the picture, was the daughter of Malam Mustapha Yerwa.
